Bob Crawford has curated along with Ramseur Records a unique collection of holiday music available everywhere on November 22nd. The project entitled, My Favorite Gifts, features soon-to-be-traditional holiday songs from the Avett Brothers, Jessica Lea Mayfield, David Wax Museum, The Wood Brothers, David Mayfield & more! All profits from the sale of this album will go to benefit the Vickie S. Honeycutt Foundation. This very special gift will be available at your favorite local record store as well as Amazon, iTunes, Ramseur Records store and the Avett Brothers merchandise store. We urge you to buy locally when you can!
Bob Crawford’s daughter Hallie has been in all of our thoughts over the past few months. Bob and his wife Melanie would like to share the following message with all of you.
Dear Avett Brothers Family and Friends,
Our family has spent the past few weeks at St. Jude’s Children’s Research hospital in Memphis, TN. I can tell you honestly that this is a place of great hope and compassion. At St. Jude, no child is turned away for lack of money. It is also one of the few children’s hospitals in the world with its own research facility. This allows researchers to take the discoveries made in the lab directly to the child in the hospital.
St. Jude has been credited with great advancements in the fight against Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and there is now an 80% cure rate. We have created a fund to honor our daughter’s fight. We ask that you join us and make a donation to St. Jude today as a tribute to her.
