The album was recorded at the legendary Quonset Hut in Nashville, TN with some of Nashville’s most well-know, veteran session players. The album features Chuck’s take on twelve classic country songs. Bob Crawford’s daughter Hallie has been in all of our thoughts over the past few months. Bob and his wife Melanie would like to share the following message with all of you.
Dear Avett Brothers Family and Friends,
Our family has spent the past few weeks at St. Jude’s Children’s Research hospital in Memphis, TN. I can tell you honestly that this is a place of great hope and compassion. At St. Jude, no child is turned away for lack of money. It is also one of the few children’s hospitals in the world with its own research facility. This allows researchers to take the discoveries made in the lab directly to the child in the hospital.
St. Jude has been credited with great advancements in the fight against Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and there is now an 80% cure rate. We have created a fund to honor our daughter’s fight. We ask that you join us and make a donation to St. Jude today as a tribute to her.
